Welcome to Miss Sophie Sing Along - bringing the music to you! I am a fully qualified, registered and experienced music teacher, with specialised training in infant and early childhood music education.

This project all started with the arrival of my beautiful son in March, 2025. His birth sparked a desire to create more opportunities for babies and families here in Cairns to experience the benefits of music. After previously running early childhood music classes and lessons in Brisbane, and teaching Instrumental Music here in Cairns, I’m thrilled to reconnect with this part of my teaching journey.

Each session is playful, engaging, and full of song – with meaningful learning seamlessly woven throughout. Your little one will develop key skills including fine and gross motor coordination, vocabulary, memory, cognitive development, and emotional regulation – all through the power of music.

Every session is thoughtfully designed using the latest research in early childhood music education, backed by evidence-based approaches to music learning and child development.

Day Care Service

$100 per session

I bring live music and instruments directly to your Centre! These sessions are designed with daycare environments in mind, following a structure similar to other music classes.

Children will explore the magic of music while developing essential skills such as fine motor coordination, vocabulary, memory, physical movement, self-regulation, and emotional well-being.

Miss Sophie is available to provide music sessions for daycare organisations at a rate of $100 per session (or per room), tailored specifically for each room (with adequate supervision).

Session lengths range from 30 to 35 minutes, depending on the age group, with a 5 minute transition time.

These sessions are organised through the Centre Director and/or admin officer.

Mothers’ Groups/Parent Groups/Play Groups

$100 per session

I bring live music and song to your community, complete with all the instruments and resources you’ll need! Together, we'll play, sing, and dance while fostering a deep connection between parent and baby.

Miss Sophie offers tailored music classes for parent groups, where your little one can enhance and develop physical, cognitive, and emotional skills. Joy, play, and community are at the heart of every musical experience — and you’ll get to share it with your wonderful mum friends!

Sessions are $100 for 30-35 minutes, depending on the age group. Classes are designed for a maximum of 8 children (not including parents or carers). Sessions can be arranged as a one-off, or ongoing basis.
