Welcome to Miss Sophie Sing Along - bringing the music to you! I am a fully qualified, registered and experienced music teacher, with specialised training in infant and early childhood music education.

This project all started with the arrival of my beautiful son in March, 2025. His birth sparked a desire to create more opportunities for babies and families here in Cairns to experience the benefits of music. After previously running early childhood music classes and lessons in Brisbane, and teaching Instrumental Music here in Cairns, I’m thrilled to reconnect with this part of my teaching journey.

Each session is playful, engaging, and full of song, with meaningful learning seamlessly woven throughout. Music sessions support the development of fine and gross motor skills, vocabulary skills, memory, literacy & numeracy skills, cognitive development, and emotional regulation.

Every session is thoughtfully designed using the latest research in early childhood music education, backed by evidence-based approaches to music learning and child development.

Day Care Service

$100 per session

These sessions are designed with daycare environments in mind and I design sessions that are flexible and will adjust to the energy of the group.

Children will explore the magic of music while developing essential skills such as fine motor coordination, vocabulary, memory, physical movement, self-regulation, and emotional well-being.

Miss Sophie is available to provide music sessions for daycare organisations at a rate of $100 per session, tailored specifically for each room.

Session lengths range from 30 to 35 minutes, depending on the age group, with a 5 minute transition time.

These sessions are organised through the Centre Director and/or admin officer.

One off, weekly, fortnightly or monthly bookings available.

Mothers’ Groups/Parent Groups/Play Groups

$100 per session

I bring live music and song to your community, complete with all the instruments and resources you’ll need! Together, we'll play, sing, and dance while fostering a deep connection between parent and baby.

Miss Sophie offers tailored music classes for parent groups, where your little one can enhance and develop physical, cognitive, and emotional skills. Joy, play, and community are at the heart of every musical experience — and you’ll get to share it with your wonderful mum friends!

Sessions are $100 for 30-35 minutes, depending on the age group.
